The Cub Scout Pack 856 parade floats, built by Cub Scout Pack 856 and their families, have won first place in the New Melle Festival Parade four years in a row and 2nd place in both the New Melle and Wentzville Parades last year!

| The Missouri Air National Guard visited Cub Scout Pack 856 during the Packs "Blue and Gold Dinner" held at the New Melle Community Club. The National Guard helicopter landed in baseball diamond 1 at the Community Club. |
| Pack 856 is well known in the community for providing educational, fun and safe activities for the Cub Scouts. It's often a family affair with the whole family joining in the activities. |
